Members gate: new login procedure and features 10/22/2009 12:17:00 PM

As of 22 October, the login procedure at the ESA web site has been significantly changed.

We hope that you will appreciate some of the new or improved functionalities:

Easier log-in & password recovery:
When you first log in, you will be asked to provide your own unique e-mail address and be able to use that e-mail address (instead of your 6-digit ID) to log in via the Members gate. You can change this address later at any time.
When logging in on a given page, you will not be redirected any longer to our website homepage, but stay on the page you were already on.
You will be able to reset your own password without our intervention, using the 'Forgot password' feature.

IMPORTANT CHANGE: your password is now case-sensitive:
it matters whether you use capital or small characters, so be aware that 'ABCDEF' and 'ABCdef' are considered to be different passwords.
It is good practice to always verify whether your CAPS-Lock key is active or not when your login fails, or before changing your original password.
New online Help section
A new Help section has been created, telling you all there is to know about logging on via the ESA Members gate and related issues (your ID, username, password, change password, change profile, lost password, confirmation links ...) . This Help section can be accessed on any page, whether you are logged in or not, by clicking the Help icon in the Members gate.
